Betsy Blanchard, Program Director

Betsy Blanchard, new Program Director for the Greater LA Program office.  Betsy was one of the Program Directors for NFTE Bay Area and has recently relocated to Los Angeles.  She will be in charge of recruiting new programs and teachers for the upcoming school year 2008-2009. 

Prior to working for NFTE, Betsy worked with the YWCA of New York City, Center for Girls where she was the Program Manager for the program Girls GIVE BACK.  Betsy managed all aspects of the program which worked with girls from Brownsville, Brooklyn.  Betsy was also the Executive Director and Co-Founder of the organization Girls CAN. 

Betsy earned a B.A. in Political Science and Women's & Gender Studies from Amherst College in Massachusetts and a Masters Degree from Columbia University, School of Social Work.
